We offer free assembly on all divan beds as part of our delivery service. For bed frames, we can assemble these too — there may be a small charge as they take longer to put together. Just ask when ordering and we’ll let you know the cost.
We also take away all the packaging from your new bed. But if you’d prefer to keep it, just let us know — the plastic covers are thick and reusable, and some customers use them to protect furniture when decorating, store items in the loft, or even cover garden plants in winter. -
Yes — we offer a free two-man delivery service for local orders. We also deliver across Essex and Hertfordshire. See our delivery page for full details
-
DescrYes — we can remove and responsibly dispose of your old bed or mattress. Just let us know when you order (charges may apply).
If you're having a bed frame collected, please make sure it's dismantled before we arrive, as we’re unable to take apart old frames during delivery.iption text goes here -
Yes — our showroom is open for you to test mattresses in person. We believe your body knows best, and we’ll help you find what feels right before you buy.
-
We don’t offer returns on used or opened mattresses for hygiene reasons. That’s why we encourage you to visit our showroom and try before you buy — so we can help you choose the right one first time.
If you're ordering online and your item is unused and still in its original packaging, you're covered by the 14-day return window under distance selling rules. Custom-made items are non-returnable unless faulty. -
It depends on what you order. Many of our beds and mattresses are in stock for quick delivery. For custom-made beds where you choose your colour, drawers, or headboard, delivery usually takes 1–3 weeks, depending on the manufacturer.
-
It depends on what you’ve ordered.
Mattresses only: around 15 minutes to unwrap, place, and tidy.
Divan beds: around 20–30 minutes including fitting the headboard if needed.
Bed frames: usually take 30–60 minutes depending on the design.
We always work as quickly and carefully as possible — and we’ll leave everything tidy when we’re done. -
When we arrive, we’ll knock and ask you to show us where the bed or mattress is going — that way we don’t put it in the wrong room. We’ll then bring everything in carefully, assemble it (if included), and place it exactly where you want it. We take away all packaging unless you’d prefer to keep it.
-
It depends on the quality of the mattress and how well it’s been looked after. Budget mattresses might last just a few years, while higher-quality ones can last 7–10 years or more.
Even if your mattress still looks or feels okay, the padding and springs may not be giving you the support they did when it was new. Because we sleep on our mattress every night, it’s easy to get used to the gradual changes — most people don’t realise how much it’s declined until they try a new one.

Some all-foam mattresses can trap heat, especially if there’s no airflow underneath. But spring-based memory foam mattresses allow air to move through the springs, which helps push heat away from your body and keep you cooler.
Many modern options also use Cool Blue or gel memory foam, both designed to feel like traditional memory foam but without the heat build-up:
Cool Blue foam is temperature-regulating and has a more breathable, open structure — it’s often firmer and quicker to bounce back.
Gel memory foam offers a slightly softer, more cushioned feel, and is often infused with cooling gel particles or layers to help absorb and draw heat away.
If you’re worried about getting too warm, just ask us — we’ll help you find the right one for your comfort and body temperature.
-
It depends on your comfort preferences, sleeping habits, and how warm you get at night.
Natural mattresses (with fillings like wool, cotton, or silk) are breathable and help regulate temperature. They suit people who get hot at night and prefer a more traditional pocket sprung feel.
Memory foam mattresses mould to your body and reduce pressure on joints, giving a more cushioned, “hugged” feel. They’re ideal if you want support with no movement from your partner, but can feel warmer unless paired with springs or cooling layers like gel or Cool Blue foam.
Latex mattresses are naturally breathable, supportive, and durable. They offer a similar feel to memory foam but are more responsive (less “sinking in”). Latex is also naturally anti-allergy and great for people who want a cooler, bouncier sleep surface.
The best way to choose is to try each type in-store — we’ll help you find the right one based on your comfort and budget.

Yes — all of our beds and mattresses come with at least a 12-month guarantee. Some models come with extended warranties, which we’ll explain when you order.
If anything goes wrong, just get in touch and we’ll help sort it with the manufacturer. We aim to make the process as quick and stress-free as possible.
-
All of our beds and mattresses come with a 1-year guarantee, which means full cover for repairs or replacement if there’s a manufacturing fault.
Some products also come with a longer warranty — for example, a 5-year warranty means:
Year 1 is full cover (the guarantee)
Years 2 to 5 are on a sliding scale, where the manufacturer still contributes toward a replacement, but the amount they cover reduces each year
We’re always happy to explain what’s included at the time of purchase, and if anything ever goes wrong, we’ll do everything we can to help guide you through the process.
-
Most of the time, yes — but modern mattresses can be much deeper than older ones. This can make the bed feel higher (or sometimes lower), depending on the type of base or frame you have.
To avoid surprises, we recommend checking both the current bed height and your new mattress height before buying. That way, you can be sure the total height will still be comfortable for getting in and out of bed.
-
Yes, you can — just not if it’s an old sprung base. Even if it looks flat and in good condition, the springs inside can wear unevenly. A new mattress will take on the shape of whatever it sits on, and weaker areas in the base can cause dips in your mattress over time.
This can void the guarantee or warranty, as most manufacturers don’t cover issues caused by an unsuitable base. Unless your sprung base is no more than 3 years old, it won’t be accepted — and proof will be needed.
How to check:
Although some sprung bases look just like solid ones, there's a simple way to tell — just lift up the mattress and press down on the base. If it feels firm with no give, it’s a solid platform or slatted base. But if it moves or you can feel springs under the surface, it’s a sprung base.Solid, slatted, or platform-top bases are usually fine — but if you're unsure, check with us first.
-
Yes, you can. If you're ordering a divan base with drawers, you get to pick which side they go on to best suit your room.
Just ask when ordering — and if you’re not sure which way works best, we’re happy to help.
-
Yes — all mattresses need either turning or rotating, depending on the type you have. Some just need rotating (top to bottom), while others need flipping as well.
We recommend:
Once a week for the first 6 months
Then once a month after that
We recommend it because we want your mattress to stay comfy and supportive for as long as possible.
We know turning a mattress isn’t anyone’s idea of fun — but it really does help it last longer. -
Yes, of course — you're more than welcome to collect from us if that’s easier for you. Just let us know when you order so we can have everything ready and waiting.
We do recommend bringing two people to help load it, especially for bigger items — as sometimes we don’t have anyone free in the shop to help lift. And don’t forget to check that it’ll actually fit in your car (you’d be surprised how many don’t!).
-
Yes, we do — in all sizes, colours, and styles, including both strutted (half) and floor-standing headboards.
You can browse our full range in-store or online, and we’re happy to help match one to your existing base if needed.
Please note: Strutted (half) headboards are pick-up only — we don’t deliver those unless they’re part of a full bed order.
-
We sell all standard UK sizes, including:
Small Single: 2ft6 × 6ft3 (75 × 190cm)
Single: 3ft × 6ft3 (90 × 190cm)
Small Double: 4ft × 6ft3 (120 × 190cm)
Double: 4ft6 × 6ft3 (135 × 190cm)
King: 5ft × 6ft6 (150 × 200cm)
Super King: 6ft × 6ft6 (180 × 200cm)
We can also do made-to-measure sizes — as long as the size is a multiple of 3 inches, since each spring is 3 inches wide. (And no, we can't cut a spring in half — we’ve tried, it doesn’t end well!)
If you’re unsure what size you need, just ask — we’ll help you find the right fit.
-
Yes you can — and we definitely recommend it.
We’ve got over 60 beds and mattresses to try in-store, because everyone wants (and needs) something different. Comfort is personal, and firmness can be tricky to explain online — what feels soft to one person might feel firm to someone else.
For example, I like a really soft mattress, so even a medium one can feel firm to me! That’s why trying before you buy makes such a difference — you’d be surprised how many people come in asking for a hard mattress and walk out loving a soft one. Happens all the time!
-
Comfort is completely personal — it depends on your body, how you sleep, and what feels right for you.
As a rough guide:
Softer mattresses suit side sleepers or lighter people who like that “sink-in” feeling
Medium mattresses are good all-rounders, especially if you move around at night
Firmer mattresses are better for back or stomach sleepers, or those who need more support
A lot of people think a hard mattress is better for a bad back, but the truth is — a mattress that’s too firm is just as bad as one that’s too soft. The key is to do the hardest thing: listen to your body, not your head.
Your body knows what it needs — and as we get older, our comfort often changes. So even if you’ve always had a soft or hard mattress before, you might need something different now.
That’s why it’s so important to try before you buy, so you know exactly what you’re getting — and what feels right for you.

We want you to be completely happy with your mattress. Because hygiene is so important, we don’t offer a typical trial or return policy once a mattress has been slept on.
However, if there’s a manufacturing fault or damage, please contact us right away — we’ll work with the manufacturer to resolve the issue.
We recommend trying mattresses in-store before you buy, so you can find the right comfort and support for you.

To keep your mattress fresh and comfortable:
Use a mattress protector to guard against spills and stains.
Vacuum regularly to remove dust and allergens.
Rotate or turn your mattress as recommended to maintain its shape — usually once a week for the first 6 months, then once a month after that.
To rotate, simply turn the mattress end to end (head to foot).
To turn a double-sided mattress, flip it over so the other side faces up.
Air it out by occasionally removing bedding to let moisture escape.
Avoid soaking your mattress or using harsh chemicals — if you need to spot clean, use mild detergent and a damp cloth.
Don’t worry about making your bed every morning — an unmade bed is good for your mattress because it lets it breathe and stay fresh!
-
Absolutely! Lots of our mattresses are made with hypoallergenic materials to help keep pesky allergens like dust mites away.
Pairing that with a good mattress protector and regular cleaning can make a big difference. If allergies are something you worry about, just pop in or give us a call — we’re happy to help you find the perfect mattress to keep you comfy and sneeze-free!
